Group 2 tools: Podcasting

This activity was all about podcasting. I had heard of it before but I had never used or seen one . I found the podcast link in iTunes and searched for anything I liked or that was relevant to technology in the classroom and I came across this one called Teacher Tech Talk.  This podcast is a talk show where they discuss gadgets, applications and technologies that may impact on students, teachers and learning.

I have completed a PMI on Podcasting in iTunes and how useful it would be in the classroom:

P-Plus

• You can subscribe to a podcast and receive updates every time they update it
• Simple to make your own audio or video and upload straight onto iTunes 

M-Minus

•  Need iTunes to subscribe to certain podcasts which needs an apple password
• Some are not free subscriptions

I-Interesting

• Anyone can make a podcast - you cant tell if the content is correct or relevant until you subscribe.
• With Iphone/Ipad and Ipod's in such abundance the program iTunes is on nearly everyone's computer so Podcasts would be easily accessible.
